There is another way.
You’re trying, but nothing is changing.
Too often we 'tough it out' rather than reaching out to ask for help when we need it most. But we can do so much more together than we can ever do alone.
I work with teens and adults looking to get unstuck. My practice is a place for compassion, curiosity, creativity, and playfulness, where you can receive support while navigating life’s challenges.
Hi there, I’m Martha.
I’ve been in your shoes. I’ve spent much of my life trying to be ok and figure myself out. I didn’t know how to feel or find real connection in others or myself. I tried many different ways to try and numb, avoid, and survive. I eventually could not stand this way of being so I sought the help of a therapist. Through the help of others, I was able to embrace myself, my body, and my feelings. I could actually begin to connect to others and myself.
I know you can have this too.
How can I help?
You may know that something isn’t working, even if you don’t quite have the words for it yet. Maybe you feel overwhelmed by your emotions, disconnected from yourself, stuck in old patterns, or exhausted from trying so hard to hold everything together.
Therapy can be a place to slow down, understand what’s happening beneath the surface, and develop a different relationship with yourself.
My approach is trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming, creative, and collaborative. Rather than asking, “What’s wrong with you?” we get curious about what you’ve experienced, how you’ve learned to survive, and what you need now.
➤ Trauma & Complex Trauma Recovery
Past experiences can continue to affect how we feel, relate, and respond long after they are over. I work with adults and teens who have experienced trauma, complex trauma, difficult relationships, chronic invalidation, or other painful experiences.
Together, we can work toward understanding your nervous system, processing what happened, and helping the past have less control over your present.
➤ Autism, ADHD, Neurodivergence
I provide neurodivergent-affirming therapy for autistic and ADHD teens and adults, including those who are late-diagnosed, late-identified, questioning, or beginning to understand themselves through a neurodivergent lens.
Therapy may include exploring masking, burnout, sensory needs, emotional regulation, relationships, identity, self-advocacy, and what it means to build a life that works with your brain rather than constantly fighting against it.
➤ Anxiety & Emotional Overwhelm
Sometimes emotions feel enormous. Other times, you may have become so accustomed to pushing them down that you aren't sure what you're feeling at all.
Therapy can help you better understand your emotions, recognize what your nervous system is communicating, develop tools for regulation, and build confidence in your ability to move through difficult experiences.
Regulation doesn't always mean being calm. It also means developing the ability to experience emotions and find your way back.
➤ People-Pleasing, Boundaries, and Codependency
If you’ve spent much of your life taking care of other people, anticipating their needs, avoiding conflict, or trying to keep everyone happy, it can be difficult to know where other people end and you begin.
Our work may include strengthening boundaries, recognizing patterns of over-responsibility, reconnecting with your own needs, and learning that caring about others doesn't require abandoning yourself.
➤ Relationships and Attachment
Relationships can bring up some of our deepest wounds and at. the same time offer opportunities for meaningful growth.
I help clients explore attachment patterns, communication, trust, conflict, boundaries, intimacy, and the ways past relationships may be influencing present ones.
The goal isn't perfect relationships. It's greater awareness, authenticity, connection, and the ability to repair when things go wrong.
➤ Grief, Loss, & Life Transitions
Loss can change the shape of our lives. Grief may come from the death of someone we love, the end of a relationship, changes in identity, becoming a parent, entering a new stage of life, or realizing that something we hoped for may never happen.
Therapy offers space to honor what has been lost while also making room for what comes next.
➤ Therapy for Teens
Adolescence can be overwhelming, particularly for teens navigating anxiety, trauma, neurodivergence, school stress, relationships, identity, or intense emotions.
I work collaboratively with teens rather than viewing them as problems that need to be fixed. Therapy provides a space where they can feel understood, develop emotional awareness and coping skills, strengthen communication, and explore who they are.
When appropriate, I also collaborate with parents and caregivers to support healthier communication and connection at home.
You Don't Have to Have It All Figured Out
You don't need to arrive at therapy knowing exactly what you need or having the perfect words to describe what's happening.
We can start with where you are.
My role is to bring curiosity, compassion, honesty, creativity, and clinical experience to the process while helping you develop a deeper understanding of yourself—and more freedom in how you choose to move forward.
